These days our love of horses is more about sport than work. Horses are involved in lots of different sports all over the world.

Because they’re very strong and fast, horse racing is very popular. Horses are also very clever animals and can be trained to be very graceful in show jumping competitions.

In America, cowboys show off their skills on horses in a rodeo. In South America, India and England, professional polo players play the game on horseback. Even Prince Charles plays polo!
